As part of the project space’s ongoing research into textile in art and architecture, Another Space presents Norwegian artist Aurora Passero’s weaved installations as well as our recent publication Textile Spaces at this year’s UNTITLED. art fair.

Aurora Passero will be exhibiting the monumental installation Natural Essence (2013) along with the new works Total. Atomic #1 and Total. Atomic #2.

For the past years Passero has worked exclusively with nylon, weaving up her own canvases before she dyes them and manipulates them spatially in combination with plaids and laces. Building on traditions of handicraft, ethnology and art history, she creates installations that can be seen as a meeting point between painting and sculpture.

Textile Spaces, US book launch
Reception on Wednesday December 4, 1 PM, Booth B09

Textile Spaces presents different approaches to using textile as spatial definer and artistic medium. The publication collages images and text, art and architecture, science, philosophy and literature, process and product, past, present and future. It forms an insight into soft materials’ functional and poetic potentials, linking the disciplines through fragments of the artists’ and architects’ practices, while simultaneously framing these textile visions in a wider context.
